PGL holds membership meetings on the first Sunday of the month in various members’ homes. We start at 6:00 p.m. with a delicious potluck supper, followed by a business meeting and educational program, all of it concluding by 8:00 p.m.. We’re a friendly group and are always delighted to welcome new people, so if you’d like to attend a meeting, just contact us. We hope to see you soon!
Nicaragua Night Chili Supper Auction Every year we hold a number of community events to acquaint people in Gettysburg and Adams County with PGL and to raise funds for our work in León, Nicaragua. We start the year off in January with our hugely successful and fun Nicaragua Night chili supper and auction at Gettysburg College Hauser Field House, featuring an extensive variety of items, including unique Nicaraguan arts and crafts. |
In the spring, we hold a wine, hors d’oeuvres and dessert Soirée, featuring live jazz at a venue selected for its elegant ambiance. Then in October we celebrate Adams County’s own Hispanic culture with Salsa on the Square, a community celebration in downtown Gettysburg featuring live music, dancing, children’s games and food.
